Trick or Treat: My Halloween Look and The Old-school Horror Films Marathon

Boo! Today is a day when we can officially look strange, scary and funny. Also we can look even weird, creepy or ridiculous and no one will tell us anything about it, except 'Oh, what a great costume!' or 'Come on man, wearing the same costume for 10 years isn't cool'. 

So:) Some of you are going to a parties, someone turning off all the lights in a house (pretending, that for annoying children - nobody's home;), or maybe you're too lazy to go somewhere and want to stay at home and watch something unusual. 

For my Halloween evening I choose 5 super old-school films, one of the best classical horror films ever.

Have to say, that b&w and silent films always made me feel terrified. Maybe because of this deep-deep monochrome frames, maybe because of hyper emotional actor's play. Hm.

If you think, that vampires are pretty, fit and young and have an emotionless girlfriends you..khm.. let's just say you're wrong;) True vampires look like old, bald man with creepy faces. 

'Nosferatu' is a disturbing, silent and it's a must-see film for all cinemaholics! The only one absolutely  silent film in a list.

'The Mummy' (watch online on Viooz )

A well-known story, with a love line in it. Spectacular Boris Karloff. Who could be a better mummy?! (few super old celebrities could be, actually;) Mysterious film, full of intrigues. It's not scary, but worth watching.

'Frankenstein' (buy on iTunes)

Guess what the doctor is screaming:) 'He's alive! He's alive!!'. How many films and TV Series are inspired by the Frankenstein's story? A lot! How many of them are worth to watch? I don't know, but this totally vintage film made in 1931 does! 

'Freaks' (buy on iTunes)

Actually 'Freaks' is my favorite one in a list. And it has a place in my very own top 100 best movies ever. Film about cruelty, hypocrisy and revenge. Very-very disturbing film, insane play, shocking scenes. Freaky, indeed.

And finally, a good-old story about a dual human's nature. One more story about a creepy metamorphosis of a man. Good film to make your own conclusions. Because, anyway we all have dark sides...

And finally - me! In colour and definitely not silent ;) This year my range of Halloween costumes looked like: 1. Zombie 2. Pirate (uhh!) 3. California Mountain Snake (Darryl Hannah's character in the 'Kill Bill') or... 4. Aunt Lily Charles from the 'Pushing Daisies'. I didn't wanted to be number 1 and 2, I'm not blond enough for number 3, so I choose to be aunt Lily from one of my favorite TV Series. Lily usualy wear a lot of colours and textures, has just thosands of differend eye bondages. So I tried to use her look.
