Weekend Film: 'The Kings of Summer' (2013)

This weekend we have summer on Films & Pies:) Yesterday I posted about cute short film 'The River' and today I'll tell you about 'The Kings of Summer' - indie film about friendship, freedom, and youth.
So..let's go!;)

I have to say, that 2013 wasn't rich for a really good film, comparing to 2012, for instance. But suddenly in the end of a year I found 'The Kings of Summer' and I was really positively surprised!

'The kings of Summer' is an indie film, directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and tells us a story about three teenagers, who decided to live separately from their 'awful' parents and build a house in a woods...

The characters are totally lovely! They're funny, they're bright and they're absolutely not boring. Especially the little weird fellow Biaggio, who is really charming and definitely a good friend.

This film is about pure friendship. About common dreams, plans, work. About having fun, being silly, being open to adventures.

It is also about a first big crush, first disappointment, felling left and lonely.
It is about finding your own way, trying to be a master of your own and to make very important decisions.

'The Kings of Summer' is a film for dreamers and about dreamers.
Nothing's impossible!

Very nice, inspiring picture, with a good director's/operator's work and well matching soundtrack.

It's a 100% good film. Worth time, especially in a good company.
The film that you actually need to watch. Especially in the middle of a winter:)
8/10

Be free and happy! And...dance,dance,dance!;)
