Weekend Film: The Smell Of Success (2009)

There's some small part of films on this planet, which are like an art when you exactly see that director used not only his professional talent, idea etc., but his imagination and heart to create a truly good film. 

I just adore finding forgotten, underrated and delicious films! And finally, in tons of shit, you feel...'The Smell Of Success'.

Roses' Manure Company felt some terrible lost: the owner of the company suddenly died. Mr. Roses' daughter - Rosemary comes to rule the company by herself. There's no place on a smelly company for a woman in a white costume. But with help of strange, but nice salesmen, Rosemary will learn how to manage the company and resist enemies...    

First of all, you will fall in love with this film because of its visual point. Smooth and warm brown filter creates a charming atmosphere of a tale. Second of all - the style. Men costumes and hats, a dash of 60's and exotic animals everywhere.

Number three - humor. Dialogues are smart and hilarious, and black humor of course (it killed nobody;). Prepare your pencils! This film has thousands of awesome quotes.

Four - Billy Bob Thornton. I don't think that I have to add something more here.

'The Smell Of Success' is a fairy-tale film. I think we really forgot how to create unique, charming and fascinating films. This film is that one rare double peanut candy, which you definitely have to try!

I'm not afraid to give 8/10.
